2024 Night to Shine - Friday, February 9!
Who can volunteer?
Each of our volunteers are tasked with the incredible responsibility to ensure that our honored guests of Night to Shine and their families get to be part of our church community where they feel welcomed, loved and supported. Through this event, we hope to change the narrative on how people with special needs are viewed.
Volunteers must:
- Be 18 years of age or older by February 1, 2024
- Complete a Federal Background Check
- Wear the correct attire for their role
If you want to play a part, but can’t volunteer for the night, consider becoming a SPONSOR! Sponsors help to purchase corsages, crowns, and other special pieces for the night! Email Katrina@ThatsGrace.org for more details.
Buddy For Honored Guest
As a Buddy, you’ll accompany and assist your honored guest throughout the entirety of the evening, providing companionship and any assistance they may need during the event. Sit with your guest during dinner and engage with them in conversation. When you sign up to be a Buddy, you’re committing to taking part in the most fulfilling buddy system ever!
* Buddies must attend a training. Jan 27, 10am-12pm (in person) OR Feb 1, 6:30-8:30pm (zoom).

Help prepare for this event on Monday – Thursday leading up to Night To Shine.

At The Event
Help us make this event amazing for our guests by choosing from the following roles:
- Parking Lot
- Red Carpet
- Check-In
- Building Maintenance

- Clean Up Team

Pre-Prom Shop
Saturday, January 13, 2024 help host our guests at a pre-prom shop at Grace Church Avon, where guests can choose from racks of free prom dresses and tuxedos to wear on Night to Shine or be an assistants to help make arrangements for custom adjustments so guests shine on their prom night.
