This series and topic can often be difficult because of the baggage we bring to the table. When we talk about family, our father figured, being adopted, and love it can often bring up emotions of the past that are not so good.
Because of this, we all bring our baggage into this conversation.
In the same way, the Jews even had baggage. They thought God had to be feared and be distant.
They wouldn’t even write the vowels of His name and appointed Moses to talk to God on their behalf.
Then Jesus shows up and in His first sermon refers to “your Father who is in Heaven. ”
They were too focused on the rules that they forgot about the relationship.
The religious leaders of the day missed why Jesus came.

vs 4-5a NO MORE SLAVES – Rom 6:6
vs 5b NEW PERSON – 2 Corinthians 2:17
vs 6 NEW FAMILY – Ephesians 2:19
ONE TRUTH: GOD DOESN’T WANT TO JUST SAVE YOU, BUT ADOPT YOU SO STOP LIVING LIKE A SLAVE AND START LIVING LIKE A CHILD OF GOD.
