Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.

“If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion – how can God’s love be in that person?”

The Bible is pretty clear on this. That if you really want to live the kind of life that God wants for you to live, you’ve got to known as a compassionate person.

We are really good at showing compassion to some people.
Right? To select people. To people that we understand. People that see the world the way we see it. People that we can resonate with. People like us.

And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

[Matthew 9:36]

Our commitment to God is measured in our compassion to others.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

[Matthew 9:37-38]

Compassion changed the world 2,000 years ago through Jesus.And that same compassion can do the same today.
