MESSAGE NOTES

Job 1:1 – “There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless—a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil.”

3 Things To Own Your Walk With God

1. Have A Walk With God

2. Have The Right Mindset For The Situation That You’re In.

Job 1:9-11″ Satan replied to the Lord, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God.  10  You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is!  11  But reach out and take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!”

Job 1:20 – Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship.

“Every good thing is a blessing from God, but not every bad thing is a punishment from God. Crisis will come, but how we respond is a reflection of our walk with God.”

3. Have A Pursuit Of God.

Job 8:1-4 – Then Bildad the Shuhite replied to Job: 2  “How long will you go on like this?  You sound like a blustering wind. 3  Does God twist justice?  Does the Almighty twist what is right? 4  Your children must have sinned against him, so their punishment was well deserved.

Job 13:12-15  Your platitudes are as valuable as ashes.  Your defense is as fragile as a clay pot. 13  “Be silent now and leave me alone.  Let me speak, and I will face the consequences. 14  Why should I put myself in mortal danger and take my life in my own hands? 15  God might kill me, but I have no other hope.  I am going to argue my case with him.

Job 10:2 –  I will say to God, ‘Don’t simply condemn me— tell me the charge you are bringing against me.

Job 38:1-4 – Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind: 2  “Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words? 3  Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them. 4  “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?  Tell me, if you know so much.

Isaiah 55:8-9 – “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.  “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9  For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

Job 42:5 – Before, I had only heard of you, but now my eyes have seen you.

It is your pursuit of God that will deepen your understanding and your
relationship with God.
