Every one of us have probably experienced it before. Life is going along just fine until something completely unexpected hits us like a brick wall. Something like the loss of a loved one, the fear of a new virus or diagnosis, or maybe the loss of a job. We didn’t know it was coming and we weren’t ready for it. It was a curveball. These times in life can be some of the scariest. We are feeling like everything is out of control and we have no idea what to do next. In this series, we are going to be looking at how the Bible says we can handle these curveballs when they come crashing into our lives and how we can respond in a way that allows God to carry us through it.
Sometimes, when crisis hits, we become open to things we rejected before. We were closed off to them before, but when you’re in a place of crisis or desperation, an unexpected curveball gets thrown your way, all of a sudden – you open up your options. Routines change, priorities change, and it provides the opportunity for us to think differently and maybe reconsider the things in our lives we have ignored or pushed away.
